8/15/2019 0 Comments Which diamond should be avoided?Diamonds come in various characteristics. Diamonds are in general characterized by the 4 Cs. Cut, Color, Clarity and Carat. As we discussed before, diamonds with the Color D to I are considered to be above average diamonds, while diamonds with the color I and beyond are considered to be "fancy" diamonds, which has less quality, value and price. The same applies to the rest of the 3 Cs. Diamonds which have IF to I clarity are considered above average, while diamonds with I clarity are considered to be less in value and price. It all really depends on your budget. Some people want the biggest stone for their budget while some want a more balanced diamonds in terms of the 4 Cs. If you want to be able to resell your diamonds in the future, always buy diamonds with at least I color, SI clarity, Good Cut, and sizeable carat weight. Diamonds can be very large however if they are poorly cut, has below I color, and I clarity, they will have a poor apperance. The diamonds will not look sparkly, brilliant or colorless. Many people will not care as long as the diamond stones look large. However for those people that understand about diamond, they'd rather have a more balanced characteristics in the diamonds. So me personally, I would avoid diamonds with below I color, I clarity and poorly cut diamonds. Carat is the least important factor when I choose my diamonds. Also, if you are like me, who cannot tell a fake diamonds from the real ones, please try to purchase diamonds with certificates. This certificates will guarantee the authenticity of the diamonds, especially when the diamonds's certificate are from well known and established diamond laboratories such as GIA, AGSL, EGL or IGI. It's a better assurance for most people.
