11/6/2019 0 Comments Which Diamond clarity is good?Diamonds' clarity is graded on a scale from IF (Internally Flawless) to I (Inclusions).
While most diamonds' flaws or inclusions are not visible under the naked eye, it greatly affects the prices on diamonds. Diamonds with IF clarity are extremely rare therefore making it the most expensive diamonds. While shopping for diamond, my minimum clarity is SI, which is a step above I. Diamonds with SI clarity can cost considerably less. If you are careful in selecting the diamonds with flaws that are strategically located, it might give you more room to move up on the other characteristics, such as Cut and Color. Diamonds with flaws that are strategically located near the girdle or culet are the best because when the loose stones are set on the prongs, the clasps on the prongs will hide these flaws making them less noticeable unless viewed under a 10 x magnification.
